About Us

Feeley Consulting, LLC specializes in transportation research and planning for the autistic community. Together with our customers, we can evaluate and plan for the most accessible and appropriate transportation mode for all individuals on the autistic spectrum.  Our founding member is actively involved with every Feeley Consulting project.

In January 2020, Cecilia Feeley, Ph.D., CEO, was honored with the National Academies Transportation Research Board Award for Best Paper in Public Transportation for her Paratransit Skills Assessment validation paper. She is the author of a report titled "Evaluating the Transportation Needs and Accessibility Issues for Adults on the Autism Spectrum in New Jersey" (TRB 10-0148), which she presented to the TRB in Washington, D.C. 

Dr. Feeley has her Ph.D. in Transportation Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she focused on on-demand paratransit services for adults on the autism spectrum. Cecilia's work has been featured in the New York Times article titled The Challenge of Driving with Asperger's. Dr. Feeley received a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Congressman Bill Pascrell. In 2016 Dr. Feeley was appointed Chair of the National Academies Transportation Research Board's Committee on Paratransit. NJ State Senator Stephen Sweeney appointed her Chair of the New Jersey Task Force on Transportation, Mobility, and Support Service Needs of Adults with Autism.

Before founding Feeley Consulting, Cecilia was employed at The National Center for Transportation and Industrial Productivity, the International Intermodal Transportation Center, and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the fifth-largest M.P.O. in the United States.  

Her son’s autism diagnosis gives her a unique and first-hand perspective on the daily needs and issues that individuals with autism face.  Ms. Feeley is also actively involved in the autism community and has received training in both A.B.A. and DIR/Floortime.
